Atlanta-based Magnolia Express bring their energetic blend of bluegrass, Americana, and improvisational roots rock to David’s 105 Listening Room.
Often described as “Modern Jamgrass,” the band combines traditional roots instrumentation with the spirit of the 1970s Outlaw Country movement and the improvisational influence of the Grateful Dead. Their sound moves between tight vocal harmonies, driving acoustic rhythms, and expansive roots rock jams.
With three studio albums, including their recent release Cowboys, Saints & Pearls, Magnolia Express has built a strong following across the Southeast through festival appearances and performances in many of the region’s respected live music venues.
Their performances celebrate both tradition and exploration, delivering strong storytelling, musicianship, and the spontaneous energy that makes every show unique.
Magnolia Express is:
Scott Balun, bass
Russell Brown, guitar and vocals
Jacques Dolan, fiddle
Carrie Holley, vocals
Steven Bell, mandolin
Jose Rivera, percussion
