If you like bluegrass that respects tradition without staying stuck inside it, Remedy Tree is worth hearing.
The Florida-based band plays contemporary bluegrass rooted in old-time, folk, and Americana built around acoustic strings, vocal harmonies, and original songwriting. Their sound can move from hard-driving bluegrass and lively picking to quieter, more reflective folk and roots songs giving them a range that reaches beyond a strictly traditional bluegrass audience.
Led by Gabriel and Abigail Acevedo, Remedy Tree began with a strong folk and Americana foundation before evolving into the full bluegrass band it is today. That background still comes through in their music. There is plenty for bluegrass listeners to grab onto but also an emphasis on melody, storytelling and songs that draw from a broader American roots tradition.
Remedy Tree signed with Mountain Fever Records in 2024 and released Beyond What I Can See in 2025. The band is also a 2026 IBMA Momentum Band of the Year nominee.
