Come hear local songwriters, musicians, and performers in an attentive listening room built for the music. Open Mic Night is a chance to discover new voices, support local artists, and enjoy a relaxed night out in downtown Monroe.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, and music begins at 7:30 PM. Entry is free.

Whether you know someone performing or you just want something different to do on a Thursday night, you’re welcome to come listen.

We welcome originals and covers, all genres, and all experience levels. Solo performers, duos, and bands are all welcome.

Walk-ins are welcome if space allows, but a spot is not guaranteed unless you receive confirmation from us.

Most performers play up to 3 songs or about 15 minutes, depending on the number of signups for the night.

We have most basic equipment available at the venue, but you’re welcome to bring your own gear, especially your guitar or preferred instrument. If you’re not sure whether we can accommodate what you need, include a note on the signup form and we’ll follow up.

What to Expect

Open Mic Night at David’s 105 is hosted in a listening-room setting, which means the focus is on the performers and the music. It is a welcoming space for new voices, local artists, and anyone who wants to spend a Thursday night hearing something real.

You do not have to perform to attend. Listeners are a huge part of what makes the night work.

  • No. Listeners are welcome, and entry is free. Come hear local songwriters, musicians, and performers in an attentive listening room.

  • Doors open at 6:30 PM and music begins at 7:30 PM. (Performers are asked to arrive around 6:30-7:00 for soundcheck.)

  • Yes. Entry is free for listeners and performers.

  • To request a spot, click  here or the Sign Up to Perform button and submit the online form. Submitting the form does not guarantee a spot; your slot is only confirmed once you receive confirmation from David’s 105.

  • Walk-ins are welcome if space allows. If someone does not show or there is extra time, we may be able to add walk-in performers, but walk-in spots are not guaranteed.
