Terraplane Blue returns to David’s 105 for a Friday night of blues, blues-rock, and plenty of guitar.
The Georgia-based trio of Doug Peters on guitar and vocals, John Straw on bass, and Dean Johnston on drums moves easily between original songs, traditional blues, and blues-rock. Their sets pull from the sounds of artists including Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Tab Benoit, Freddie King, Albert Collins, The Meters, and Robert Johnson, giving you everything from straight-ahead blues to harder-driving blues-rock.
If you caught Terraplane Blue at David’s 105 previously, you already know how well this band fits the room. If you missed them, October 16 is another chance to hear them up close in our seated listening room in Downtown Monroe.
